Electrostatic Flocking Machine

Electrostatic flocking is a technique that utilizes the principle of electrostatic attraction to uniformly embed fibers onto the surface of an item. A strong electric field is created by applying a high-voltage current to the anode while grounding the cathode. When an adhesive-coated item passes through this electric field, fibers at the anode are attracted toward the cathode and fly vertically onto the adhesive surface. After drying, the fibers are firmly bonded, resulting in a fine and uniform flocked surface.

Application Scope

Since the flocking process is based on the attraction between positive and negative charges, this machine can be used on items of any shapeˇXflat, curved, concave, convex, or three-dimensionalˇXand in any location such as walls, floors, or ceilings. Except for water, almost any material can be flocked using this machine, including felt cloth, flocked paper, wooden products, jewelry boxes, clothes racks, aluminum foil, hardware, plastic toys, rubber, sponge, ceramics, automotive interior parts, marble, glass, fabric, leather, pulp products, suitcases, and more.

Adhesive and Drying Method

Various types of adhesives are available, and the appropriate one should be selected based on the material of the item being flocked. The drying process also depends on the material. For example, felt cloth typically requires heat treatment at 130ˇV150˘XC, which can be achieved using steam, gas, or electric heaters.
